Devfinity provides website care and maintenance for business websites and online stores. After reviewing your site's technology, access and condition, we agree a care plan covering routine updates, backups, monitoring and a defined allowance for smaller changes.

Our care plan is a monthly arrangement covering the routine work that keeps a site secure and working, plus a set amount of small changes. It covers sites we built and, after a review, sites built by someone else — including online stores.

Service scope and deliverables

The final deliverables, quantities and responsibilities are confirmed in your written quote. Depending on the agreed scope, the service covers:

• Software, theme and plugin updates
• Regular backups you can restore from
• Uptime and security monitoring
• SSL certificate and domain renewal reminders
• Fixing broken forms, links and layout issues
• Small content changes each month
• A short monthly summary of what was done

Taking over a site someone else built

We start with a review: what the site runs on, what is out of date, who holds the logins and whether there are backups. You get a plain summary of what we found and what it would take to put right, before any monthly plan begins.

When a change is bigger than maintenance

New sections, a redesign or new features are quoted separately as a project. If the site is due a rebuild, we will say so rather than keep patching it — see website design and development.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is billed by the hosting provider. We can set it up in your name and manage it as part of the plan, so you always keep control of the account.

Can I cancel the plan?

Yes. The plan runs month to month; the notice period is set out in our terms of service.
